The Hood Lift Assist Kit features two (2) Gas Shock Pivot Assemblies that extend the hood opening to an amazing 85 degrees* in most installations. Without this patented Gas Shock Pivot Assembly, you get only a 45 degree opening.
* In a limited number of installations, the bracket will prevent the hood from opening the full 85 degrees.
