Smith & Loveless Inc. Introduces New Brochures for the S&L FAST® & S&L Modular FAST® Treatment Systems

LENEXA (Kan.) – Smith & Loveless Inc. announces the release of its latest informational brochures for the S&L FAST® and S&L Modular FAST® packaged wastewater treatment systems. These new brochures aim to assist consulting engineers, private developers and commercial end-users with wastewater treatment applications that experience variable and seasonal flow changes like schools, campsites and retreat centers, hotels and motels, and other like industrial-commercial facilities. 

Smith & Loveless developed the patented Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment (S&L FAST®) biofilm treatment process to effectively handle hydraulic shock loads and varying flows while preventing bacterial washout. The process yields a longer sludge than typical biological systems, all within a more compact footprint. Its self-regulating process minimizes daily operator attention. Process zones can be added to meet more stringent effluent requirements, including for biological nutrient removal. S&L FAST® and S&L Modular FAST® are package treatment plants, but for flows greater than 1 million gallons per day, the systems can become field-erected wastewater treatment plants.
